Michael C. Spragg - President and Chief Executive Officer

Michael C. Spragg, President and CEOMr. Spragg, joined The Old Fort Banking Company in July 2007 as President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Old Fort, Mr. Spragg served as the Regional President, Northern Region, and Executive Vice President of Commercial Banking for Sky Bank from 1997 to 2007, previously serving as Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking for both Sky Bank and the Ohio Bank.  Mr. Spragg served as Vice President and Senior Vice President of The Peoples Banking Company from 1990 to 1993 and served as Peoples Bank President and Chief Executive Officer from 1993 to 1997.  Mr. Spragg has over 27 years of experience in the banking industry.

Mr. Spragg earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Catawba College and an MBA in Finance from the University of Findlay.  He is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, the Advanced School of Commercial Credit, and the Ohio School of Commercial Credit at Miami University.

Mark B. Malone EVP, Chief Credit Officer

Mark B. Malone EVP, Chief Credit OfficerMr. Malone joined The Old Fort Banking Company in March 2009 as Senior Vice President, Chief Lending Officer. He has over 36 years of experience in the banking industry and 33 years of commercial lending experience and credit management. He is a 1980 graduate of Miami University and earned his MBA from Wright State University in 1985. Mr. Malone began his banking career in the management development program at Winters National Bank and Trust (JP Morgan Chase Bank) in Dayton, Ohio.  His background includes senior management positions in several regional banks including Bank One, PNC and Fifth Third.  In May 2015, he assumed the role as Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer for Old Fort Bank.  Mr. Malone’s experience includes management of commercial banking activities for a wide range of industries, setting and managing credit policies and procedures and overseeing a variety of credit products and services including SBA, agriculture, commercial and industrial, commercial real estate, and mortgage lending.

Mr. Daniel joined The Old Fort Banking Company in February 1998 as the Bank’s Internal Auditor. Prior to joining the Bank, he was self-employed and the managing partner of two restaurants.  Mr. Daniel received a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Tiffin University in 1993 and a Masters of Business Administration from Heidelberg University in 2001.  Mr. Daniel is a certified public accountant and is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He has served on numerous non-profit boards and committees in Tiffin including The Ritz Theater, Mercy Hospital and the Tiffin Columbian Athletic Boosters.  Mr. Daniel has served as the Bank’s Chief Financial Officer since 2003 and also the Bank’s Chief Operations Officer since 2015. 

W. David Walton EVP, Chief Lending Officer

W. David Walton EVP, Chief Lending OfficerMr. Walton joined The Old Fort Banking Company in September 2008 and started his career in banking in 1996 working for a community bank headquartered in Greene County Ohio.  For the past 20 years, he has managed commercial banking relationships for a vast range of industries including; commercial real estate, mechanical contractors, medical and professional firms, manufacturing, and service companies. Prior to joining Old Fort Bank, Mr. Walton served as District President for a large community bank and SVP, Commercial Team Leader for a regional bank; both in the Dayton, Ohio area.  Mr. Walton is a lifelong resident of Greene County Ohio and has been active in his community.  He is currently serving as Chairman of the Adult Education Endowment Fund for the Greene County Career Center as well as a member of the loan review committee for the Xenia City Revolving Loan Fund.
