| OLD FORT BANK AWARDS
SCHOLARSHIPS |

Each year Old Fort Bank awards three
$1500 scholarships to area high school seniors residing in the bank’s
service area. The student must be enrolled at Heidelberg College, Terra
Community College, or Tiffin University.
Selection is based on essay questions provided on the application. The
selection committee is composed of county leaders and representatives
from each college. This is the first year all three winning
applications hailed from the same school…Tiffin Columbian High School.
Anthony
Dean, recipient of the Tiffin University Scholarship, is the son of
Dennis and Ann Dean. Anthony plans to pursue a career in business
and marketing.
Ronee Farris,
daughter of Rhonda Farris & David Farris, was awarded the Heidelberg
College Scholarship. Beginning her studies in the fall, Ronee will be
majoring in math with a minor in psychology.
Jonathon Stinchcomb
is planning to earn
an Associates of Arts Degree in Fine Arts and also an Associates Degree
of Applied Science in Digital Arts and Media Design from Terra Community
College. Jon is the son of Craig and Sally Stinchcomb.
Jerry P. Weininger, Senior Vice
President of Old Fort Banking Company,
presented the scholarships on behalf of the Old Fort Banking Company and
extended his congratulations to these fine young people. The bank also
awarded $100 and $50 United States Savings Bonds to the following:
Elizabeth Engeman, Brenna Humburg – St. Joseph Central Catholic; Chase
Brandeberry – Fostoria High School; Jackie Reinhart – New Riegel High
School; Karen Lehmann, Phillip Farrar, Jr., Kayla Gerber, and Kelsey
Scharf – Clyde High School; Meghan Parsely – Fremont Ross; Brittany
Phillips – Seneca East; Amanda Ellis – Carey High School; Josselynn
Myers and Sarah Girand – Lakota High School; Bryce Kuhn – Tiffin
Columbian; - Michelle Kimmet – Bettsville; Alisha Hoover –
Hopewell-Loudon.
The Old Fort Bank scholarship program
began in 1994 and has awarded an estimated $125,000 in scholarships and
renewals.
